Physical Security exceeds threshold requirements, including post 9/11 DoD criteria:
  • Perimeter bollards at a substantial stand off distance and structurally engineered for resistance to vehicular intrusion and resistance to explosive blast forces from a bomb inside a vehicle.
  • Exterior vehicular guard station to be installed to ensure that only authorized vehicles obtain access to the site.
  • Many of the features of this facility are designed for a federal government level of security for prevention of physical intrusion and resistance to the blast forces of a bomb.
  • 3 interior mantraps
  • Interior sheer walls and exterior walls which are structurally engineered for blast resistance from the explosive forces of satchel bombs and truck bombs.
  • The raised floor is designed to support a load of 300 lbs. per square foot.
  • Exterior walls:  Double wall exterior made of filled concrete masonry units and faced with brick. Brick and stone exterior provides high level corporate image.
  • Double roof design including a main standing seam roof supported with structural steel and a secondary roof made of steel and reinforced concrete which is structurally engineered for blast resistance.
  • The foundation consists of four inches of 3/4 inch washed stone placed on top of virgin soil exceeding the compaction requirements and reinforced with rebar. The building is wrapped in red brick. The roof is a "built up" 20-year-warranty roof system placed on a pitched roof, installed by a first-class specialty subcontractor.
  • Multiple layers of physical security:
    • - Exterior bollards provide restricted entry to the 10 acre site
    • - Exterior structural walls
    • - Interior mantraps
    • - Bullet resistant glass and half inch thick steel surrounding interior lobby security guard station
    • - Interior and exterior electronic surveillance including CCTV and identity authentication devices.
  • This facility is designed to meet or exceed numerous criteria in the Unified Facility Code for Anti-Terrorism, DoD specifications.
